A great shoe should feel secure from the first step. Use your usual UK shoe size as a starting point, then check the available sizes and any fit notes on the product page. Our shoes are listed in UK sizes 3–8.

EU / US conversions are a guide. Sizing can vary between brands and styles, so we recommend choosing by your usual UK size where possible.

How to measure your feet

For the most useful measurement, measure both feet at the end of the day, when they may be slightly larger.

  1. Place a sheet of paper on a hard floor, with one edge against a wall.
  2. Stand on the paper with your heel lightly touching the wall. Keep your weight evenly on both feet.
  3. Mark the tip of your longest toe.
  4. Measure from the wall edge to the mark.
  5. Repeat on your other foot and use the longer measurement when comparing it with a size chart.

Wear the socks or hosiery you expect to pair with your shoes while measuring. If you’re between sizes or one foot is longer than the other, get in touch and we’ll help you choose.

Finding a comfortable fit

Your heel should feel held in place, and your toes should have enough room to rest naturally. Shoes shouldn’t pinch or slide off when you walk. Give particular attention to the fit across the toes and at the heel.

Different shapes can feel different on the foot. A pointed toe, an open sandal and a boot may each fit differently, even in the same size. Check the product page for style-specific fit information, and contact us if you’re unsure.

Between sizes?

Vespera sizes are listed in whole UK sizes. If you usually wear a half size, are between sizes, or have a wider foot, please contact us before ordering. We’ll be happy to talk through the style you have in mind.
